  • Health and Physical Education

These learning areas are fundamental to our class programs from Foundation to Year 6.

Franklin Primary School is committed to providing a learning environment that enables students to develop a positive vision for themselves and the world in which they live. Students are taught to value diversity, act democratically and consider the consequences of scientific and technological innovations in their environment.

SPECIALIST SUBJECTS

Garden to Kitchen Program

Frankin Primary School works with it's community to provide students access to real world learning by connecting them to their environment and educating them to plant, grow, harvest and prepare food for their classes.

Art

Art is taught once a week to students at Franklin primary school. Learning in and through art, craft and design, students create visual representations that communicate, challenge and express their own and others’ ideas as artist and audience. They develop perceptual and conceptual understanding, critical reasoning and practical skills through exploring and expanding their understanding of their world and other worlds. They learn about the role of the artist, craftsperson and designer, their contribution to society, and the significance of the creative industries. Similarly with the other art forms, the visual arts has the capacity to engage, inspire and enrich the lives of students, encouraging them to reach their creative and intellectual potential by igniting informed, imaginative and innovative thinking.
